How to clean your basic cashmere clothes to keep them in good conditions, as long as possible.

1 - Instructions for use :

You should take your basic cashmere articles in turns, more often than not, just to let the fibres rest and reconstruct themselves : like this, they will keep their softness.

Avoid rubbing zones so as, zips, belts, inside pockets enclosing keys, wallets or bags handles…

And you, sir, il you grow a beard, avoid to rub it against the cashmere garments it might cause pilling appearance.

2 - Washing :

Wash your cashmere clothes very often : you will make the most of them.

In fact, cashmere loves water, so, if you wash your wollens regularly, you will hydrate the fibres, and this way, your clothes will be softer, witheret any pills

If you wash your woolens by hand, use some cold water (-30°) and a special wollen cleaning product.

Don’t let them steep. Soak them quickly, tap, and rinse them out into fresh water.

Then, wring and dry your woollens lying flat on a terry towel, sheltering daylight and warmth. Never dry them in a drying-machine.

If you use the washing-machine, turn on « wool programme » or « hand programme »

For more protection, you should slip your cashmere garments into a small net or a pillowease.

Don’t let your woolens dip, wring them slowly (400 max turning lathe)

Dry them and put them lying flat on a terry towel under shelter of ligth and heat. Never let them dry into a tumble-dryes.

3 - Put away and manage to keep your cashmere clothes for long :

Avoid hanging your woolens, tidy them lying flat, in a dry place, shelter of sun.

That way, they won’t deform and you’ll protect their colore and fibres.

If some pills come out, don’t pull them, use a special cashmere comb (never use an electric razor) comb slowly, don’t press do it occasionally. Anyway, all the pills remain superficial : they will disappear during successively washing.
